What is free, what Pro adds, how the trial works, and how to sign in or use a license key.

A seat is one person. A team buys the plan once per person.
Getting Pro#
There are two ways to bring a plan to an installation:
- Sign in: HDL Studio: Sign In to Soft Forge opens the browser and uses your account’s plan. Signing out (HDL Studio: Sign Out) frees the seat for another machine.
- License key: paste the key from your email into HDL Studio: Enter License Key….
HDL Studio: See Plans (Client Portal) opens the plans in your browser, and HDL Studio: Manage Subscription shows the state of yours.
Offline#
Keys are verified on your machine, so the viewer works without a connection. When the server cannot be reached, a confirmed plan keeps working for a grace period: 3 days after the last check for a signed-in account, and 14 days for a pasted key. The status bar then reads Pro (offline).
